The scorching heat of summer has finally come to an end, and the new season of autumn is upon us.

Just as the crops in the fields are preparing to bear fruit after enduring the summer heatwave, I wish the Keimyung family well-being and hope that autumn brings abundance to all.

I would like to express my sincere respect and gratitude to the faculty and staff who have devoted themselves to checking and improving lecture rooms and various facilities on campus during the summer break, as well as preparing road shows for student recruitment, lectures for the new semester, and research.

Students have strengthened their major competencies through overseas training programs such as the KMU Global Artist Development Project and the global AI training course jointly operated with Qualcomm Institute in the U.S. They have also practiced Keimyung's true spirit through overseas volunteer activities in Vietnam, Ethiopia, Indonesia, and other regions. In particular, the cultural performances and educational volunteer activities of our volunteer corps in Vietnam opened new horizons for civil diplomacy. Their coverage in the local media has brought recognition to Keimyung University abroad. Moreover, 351 foreign students visited our university and had a meaningful time learning the Korean language and culture.

Last semester, as a result of the tireless research of our university's professors, seven books were selected as '2024 Excellent Academic Books' by the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Korea. In addition, Keimyung University's excellence is being widely recognized both internally and externally, as we received an 'A' grade in the annual appraisal of the University Innovation Support Project. The passion and relentless efforts of all the members of the Keimyung family in their respective positions can be seen as the driving force that continues to elevate Keimyung University a notch higher.

   Dear Keimyung family,

While in the first semester we celebrated the 125th anniversary of our founding with various programs, including commemorative events, academic activities, volunteer work, and performances, the second semester should be a time to prepare for a new leap forward with these achievements serving as stepping stones. As part of such an endeavor, we welcomed 105 new faculty members in the first semester, and 44 joined us at the start of the second semester. Bringing in the top experts in various fields each semester is a meaningful effort that enhances the academic standing of the university and provides students with high-quality education that meets the demands of the times.

As the new semester begins, we have kicked off recruiting new students for the 2025 academic year. I ask for your support in encouraging many talented individuals, who will shape the future of Keimyung University, to apply. The school will continue to specialize in the Mobility Campus, attract outstanding students, and steadily build various high-quality educational and practical environments.

The rapidly changing global landscape and educational environment are posing challenges for us. I believe that when all members of the Keimyung family unite and move forward with a pioneering spirit, we will be able to turn these challenges into great opportunities. As we enter this season of abundance, filled with gratitude and sharing, I pray that God's great grace will be upon you and your families.
